A new senior softball league, Travel Practice League (TPL), was started this fall. It consisted of four PebbleCreek teams. These teams represented players that participated in tournament play such as the June Pinetop tournament which enters a 60s team and a 65s team. On June 3 and 4, two of these teams will be competing in Flagstaff. Players had to be members of PCSSA with a recommended 20 plus rating. The four managers that established and ran the league are Bryan Bostock, Dick Gwilt, Randy Prinz and Al Chandler. Games were on Monday mornings and enjoyed by players and spectators from the community.

The season ran from October through March. Halfway through the season, all four teams were tied with five wins and five losses. At the end of the season, the Summit Financial team managed by Bryan Bostock won. Championship shirts were given to winning players. A pizza party was enjoyed after the last game by all players and spectators.

The league is hopeful to expand to more teams next year allowing more players to join. The league which included 50 or more players wishes to thank the Board of PCSSA for allowing the league to form. And a special thanks to Don DeCosta for umpiring the league and Limon Reinert who ran the scoreboard.
