It’s a sure bet that things are about to heat up now that Summer Pub Quiz appears on the PebbleCreek Singles Club’s monthly calendar of events. May is upon us and the return of summer’s sizzling temperatures temporarily puts a halt to outdoor activities and events, but that does not mean active Singles Club members will sit idle.

Beginning May 20 and continuing through the months of June, July, August and September, Pub Quizmaster extraordinaire Dan Miczek will be challenging his fellow Singles Club members to come up with answers to questions on a full array of subjects ranging from architecture to zoology. Each month’s Pub Quiz will be held at a different restaurant in the area. Participants are invited to sign up as teams of four or as individuals who will be assigned to a team. Information and signup sheets will be available at the regular monthly meetings and on the weekly email update sent to all members. May’s Pub Quiz location is The Haymaker and it is being co-hosted by Rhissa Pontrelli.

The group’s next meeting will be held on Sunday, May 3 in the ballroom at Tuscany Falls Clubhouse. New member registration begins at 2:15 p.m. with activities sign-up at 2:30 p.m. and the business meeting at 3:00 p.m. President Judy Shaffer will be presenting details on the club’s 2015 Charitable Campaign.

Activities Director Peggy Kuffner will be sharing details of April’s Scavenger Hunt, Bocce for Fun Night and the Arizona Broadway Theater excursion. She also will be providing more information about the Summer Pub Quiz and Cinco de Mayo celebration on May 5. Calendars are always available in the Eagle’s Nest Kiosk and online at the PC HOA website and in the weekly email updates. Those wishing to suggest future activities are welcome to contact Peggy at [email protected] or 623-935-7225.

Membership is open to single PebbleCreek homeowners, fulltime renters and snowbirds. Vice President and Membership Chairman Judi Wolowitz are available to answer any questions prospective new members may have. She can be reached at [email protected] or 408-768-7051.
