State Parties – March 2024

Colorado State Party Sold Out

Marilu Trainor

PebbleCreek residents set a record when they made 250 reservations for the March 2 Colorado State Party. The reservations poured in and within 13 days, every reservation was committed. This is the sixth year the party has sold out of available reservations.

This party will be a rocking’ good time for anyone who enjoys Colorado. The Centennial State’s musical themed party—“Colorado Rocks 2024”—includes surprises for those who have nabbed a reservation.

PebbleCreek’s own Melissa Kallett will be the emcee and will keep the party pace hopping all night long.

The party schedule is:

* 3:45 p.m.—Classic cars will be outside the ballroom for you to snap a selfie before entering the party.

* 4 p.m.—Badges for everyone who pre-registered will be available in the Tuscany Ballroom lobby. The no-host/cash bar also starts. Badges will contain your preferred Colorado hometown, and this will be a great time to meet your neighbors from your hometown and talk about your memories of the Centennial State.

* 4:30 p.m.—Doors open to the ballroom. It’s open seating with tables of 10.

* 5 to 6:15 p.m.—“That’s Amore” Italian buffet dinner will be served with tiramisu for dessert.

* 6:15 to 8:45 p.m.—“Let’s Dance” to “Good Vibrations” and the many sounds of the Rhythm Edition Band. The group will play popular tunes of the ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s.

If you’re attending the party, you’ll want to bring some extra cash for the ever popular “Rocky Mountain Squares.” Tickets will be available at 4 p.m. Squares are $5 each with a limit of four squares per person and historically they sell out before dinner starts. There will be many great prizes for the winners including a $500 Southwest Gift Card, $200 VISA, several $100 prizes including Top Golf, Chicken & Pickle, and multiple local restaurants and merchants.

Attendees are encouraged to come in costume of the ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s decades or come casual or wear Colorado clothing.

Don’t forget your camera for the annual photo booth.

If you have reservations but are unable to attend the event, you are responsible for reselling your reservations and notifying Cheryl Murphy by sending an email to her at [email protected] or text her with information so a replacement badge can be made for the new attendees.

If you have questions, please contact Michele Conroy at 970-685-7702 or Cheryl Murphy at 303-378-9901.

Hoosiers … Start Your Engines for the 2024 Indiana Party!

“The Greatest Spectacle” in partying will be held Thursday, March 21 in the Chianti Room at the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse. This year’s theme is the Indianapolis 500, so get out your black and white and or your checkered outfits! Judi Johnson will be sending out detailed information (times, cost, registration info, etc.) to our database in the next couple of weeks, so be on the lookout. Once registration opens there will only be 110 seats. Register early—don’t get “bumped” out of a seat. If you know of any Hoosiers who missed last year, please have them send Judi their contact information. Lots of 500 fun and trivia is being planned, so mark your calendars and “rev” up for a good time!

Oregonians, Mark Your Calendars!

Judy Hart

The annual PebbleCreek Oregon picnic is just around the corner. Oregonians, former Oregonians, or simply anyone who has any sort of connection to the state—this is your chance to get together. No ID checked before entry, and no tickets or reservations needed!

Join us Sunday, March 24, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Sunrise Park. A spring event that has been going on for decades, this gathering has become an occasion where friends have discovered that they were neighbors when they were kids, that they attended Grant High School in Portland, or that they were members of the same fraternity in college. There’s no better way to find “old” friends than at your annual PebbleCreek Oregon picnic!

As in years past, bring your own beverages, and appetizers to share. Plates, utensils, and napkins are provided. Bring your chair, grab a place in the shade, and prepare for the Annual Oregon Trivia Challenge!

Questions? Call Lucy Saling at 623-536-8420 or Ross and Judy Hart at 541-747-4821.
