State Parties

Canadian Party

Leslie Russell

On Sunday, March 12, 114 Canadian PebbleCreek residents gathered together for their annual party under an Arizona sun, not a Canadian clipper, at the home of Jack and KT Tanner.

Attendees talked, drank, talked, ate, talked and met fellow ‘Creeker Canadians.

Next year is in the planning stages for Sunday, March 8, 2020. Stay tuned.

Thank you to everyone who planned and helped!

Nebraska state party

The Nebraska state party was held Sunday, March 10, at the Tuscany Falls Oasis Pool Ramada. Approximately 65 PebbleCreek Huskers enjoyed shared appetizers, state trivia questions/fun facts and meeting fellow Nebraskans.

Oregon-Idaho state picnic

Over 100 Oregonians and Idahoans gathered in Sunrise Park on Sunday, March 10 to renew acquaintances, rehash old times and meet new neighbors. The weather cooperated perfectly – sunny, no wind and in the upper 60s.

As home ownership in PebbleCreek continues to grow, the opportunity to find more “old” friends continues to grow as well. Neighbors from years ago, former coworkers, even people who are now neighbors both in Arizona and Oregon, found each other. As is tradition, John Flynn and betty Tomtan wrote their annual trivia quizzes for Oregon and Idaho. The questions were challenging. Who knows the name that the Multnomah people originally gave to Mount Hood? Do you know what Idaho’s state fruit is?

This picnic is an event that has existed since shortly after the first Oregonians moved to PebbleCreek in the mid-90s and became more of an event each year. The committee stresses the fact that “No ID is required” and that anyone with ANY connection to either state is most welcome!
