Something Is Missing

Roxie Forrest

We were very content. We could say we were living the perfect life, had the perfect partner, enjoyed our perfect family and friends. But now, something is missing.

We can’t go to parties. We can’t go out for social gatherings. We can’t go out for tennis. But we can go out for walks in our community that most of us call paradise. We can wave from a distance to our friends and to those who may become friends in time. We can enjoy music and we can dance. We can read books or magazines. We can watch movies on Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu. We can do a lot, but something is missing.

If you are like me, the feeling that something is missing doesn’t make me depressed. It reminds me of how much we have in life and how much there is still to enjoy. Don’t give up. Keep exploring your life. I know it feels like you’re never going to find that missing piece, but the discovery of what life has to offer, other than tennis, is endless! Life itself will find its path.

It’s true, life will have its falls and sometimes life is going to suck and you’re going to feel stuck, but always know that at some point things will get better. Soon, our community will be thriving, the roads and pathways will be filled with happy and content residents whom we will know as friends. And, the tennis courts will be jam-packed with those whom we have missed.

Soon, my friends.
