Giving their time and talents was the focus for the PebbleCreek (PC) Sewing Club throughout April, as members dedicated both class sessions to meaningful charity projects.
On April 1, the club enjoyed a fun and productive day sewing dresses, which we call Dresses from the Heart. These adorable garments will be placed in Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes. They will then be filled by PC residents and shipped to children around the world who may have never received a gift or new dress in their life. Much joy and laughter enhanced the day as each new dress was created.
On April 15, members turned their attention to sewing dining scarves for residents of Hospice of the Valley. Designed to help protect clothing during meals, these scarves were made using quilted fabric on the front and absorbent terry cloth on the back for added functionality.
In May, the club has these exciting classes planned:
* May 6: Tea wallets and tissue holders
* May 20: Neck coolers
