Sewing Club Classes Resume

Lisa Reichert

During the summer months, many PebbleCreek Sewing Club members who remain in the community gather at the Creative Arts Center (CAC) to enjoy sewing, designing, and creating projects in the comfort of the air conditioning. While regular classes take a break during June, July, and August, the club is excited to resume its class schedule in September.

The first class of the season will be held on Sept. 16, when Darlene Helker will teach participants how to make a microwave bowl cozy. This simple yet practical project is designed to fit around a bowl, making it easy to remove hot dishes from the microwave without burning your hands—perfect for enjoying a warm bowl of soup on a cool evening.

Every kitchen can benefit from a microwave bowl cozy, and this beginner-friendly project is both useful and fun to make. It also makes a thoughtful handmade gift, so why not create one for yourself and a few more for family and friends on your holiday gift list?

We hope you’ll join us on Sept. 16 to kick off another creative season with the PebbleCreek Sewing Club!

The Sewing Club will continue to meet on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for anyone wishing to work in the studio. If you want to take this class or need more information about the Sewing Club, please contact JoEllen Cruze at 10sjaycee@gmail.com.
