On March 27, 2014 we set sail for an afternoon of good food and beautiful fashions from JC Penney in the Tuscany Ballroom.
Fashions were modeled by our own lovely PebbleCreek women: Sharon Hart, Rita Noon, Bev Bass, Loni Trussel, Marcia Hill, Karen Sweet, Kathy Pelka, Janis Korba, Linda Sinley, Betty Oswald and Rebecca Lessard.
The afternoon progressed with a 50/50 raffle, winning the beautiful centerpieces made by our own Sharon Finley and prizes awarded to our cruise wear contestants: Susan Kice, BonVoyage, Sandy Stephens, Dinner with the Captain and Carole Garrett, Shopping on Catalina Island.
Our Grand Prize went to Carolyn Rota who won a cruise for two sailing the California coastline.
Tribute was paid to Jo Shaffer who 15 years ago had the concept of Lunch Bunches for PebbleCreek women. New groups are constantly forming: always room for more; contact Jo Shaffer or Julie Williams if interested.
This women’s group’s sole purpose is to have a good time, fostering friendships and contributing 100 percent of all proceeds to a charitable group: this year, Aqua Fria Food Bank.
