Temperatures on April 11 made it into the nineties but this did not dissuade seven PebbleCreek B hikers from hiking a demanding 9.7 mile McDowell Sonoran Preserve loop comprised of Gateway-Windgate-Bell Pass trails with in excess of 2,000 feet total elevation gain. The hiking club hikes five days a week during the regular season, September to April, with a hike for almost every level of fitness and challenges the Arizona summer with two exploratory hikes a week during the summer. Visit the club’s website at pchikers.org for more information and pictures.
