RV Club “Old Timers” luncheon recap

Edna DeFord

A luncheon was held for members of the PebbleCreek RV Club who started the organization in 1997 and members up through 2003. Many of these members have sold their rigs and are pursuing other pursuits in their advancing years. It was an enjoyable time of remembering the early caravans with our first venture in February 1998 to Yuma and other travels that year to Tucson in April, Lake Havasu City in October and our first annual Christmas Party at Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse. There were four to five caravan trips per year over the next four years with new Wagon Masters for each caravan. Many interesting things occurred as the group learned how to plan trips and serve as Wagon Masters for a group of new and old travelers. Attendees at the luncheon included: John Adams, Phil Batton, Tom and Carol Burford, Ken and Edna DeFord, Bernie and Marlene Dobrin, Rich Fox, Vic and Barb Glasco, Bill and Illene Hodgon, Chuch and Mary Howerton, Bob and Darlyne Putz, Jim and Sharon Johnson, Gene and Irmie Mahler, Jan Monson, Jan Sandberg, Wendell Smith, Mary Veraldi and Shirley Williams. The group looks forward to another gathering next year and missed those who were not with us for this luncheon.
