Sadie
Mary O’Neill
Sadie was found by a resident out on McDowell in the Avondale area. We put her into foster care with one of our foster volunteers. Sadie is an older dog, probably 10+ years according to the veterinarian. She got along great with her foster mom’s dog, Odie, who is also older.
Sadie is a calm, sweet dog. She has never barked since we’ve had her. She’s got the body of a miniature pinscher, the head of a chihuahua, the coloring of a rottweiler, and the nose of a beagle. Have you ever tried to walk a scent hound? It is a lot less walking, and a lot more nose-to-the-ground sniffing. That’s Sadie. She loves a good scent.
Sadie’s foster mom decided to adopt her! This is great news as it is often hard for senior dogs to find homes. If you are up for adopting a calm, senior dog, the shelters around here absolutely have them. No house training, no chewed shoes, and no puppy energy. I have a list of shelters, even breed-specific shelters, if you are looking for your next companion.
