The Republican Club is pleased to announce that we will hold a summer meeting on Thursday, Aug. 15. 2024 is a critical election year for our country and our state. One of the most important things engaged Republicans can do is to help get out the vote. With that goal in mind, we are proud to welcome Eric Hayes of Turning Point Action back to our club to get our members ready to do just that. Eric will equip us with the tools we need to reach low propensity Republican voters. Those are Republicans who have not voted in the past one or two election cycles. It was shocking to learn that so many Arizona Republicans did not vote in either of the elections in 2020 and 2022. We will be working to make sure they vote in November! All club members who are willing and able to help us meet this goal are encouraged to attend this important meeting.
In addition to Eric Hayes, we will welcome several of the Republican candidates who won the July 30 primary election. Slated to speak are the winners of the following races: the Corporation Commission, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, the Maricopa County Sheriff, and the Maricopa County Recorder. They will discuss their platforms and how they plan to win in November. It will be important to hear from these candidates as their county positions are extremely important in protecting our energy policy, our public safety and security and our election integrity, which has been of serious concern to us over the past few years. We plan to host several of the other winners of the Republican primary in two upcoming meetings this fall.
The Aug. 15 meeting will be held in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. Social time is at 6:30 p.m., and the Membership Meeting begins at 7 p.m. Members and their guests are welcome to attend. We will resume our normal fall schedule in September with our membership meetings on the first Thursday of the month.
