Poker Bike Ride

Back by popular demand is the always enjoyable-Poker Bike Ride!

Perhaps you’re not up to peddling 100 miles-or even 55 miles-but you want to get started in a cycling program or maybe you just want to go for a fun bike ride one morning. Here’s your opportunity! Join your fellow cyclers on Saturday, October 18 at 9:00 a.m. for a recreational, leisurely ten mile ride through the PebbleCreek Community.

Don’t be intimidated by the thought of cycling ten miles. This ride is composed of five two mile loops. At the end of each loop, you will draw a poker card. At the end of the ride everyone will show their hand with the best hand winning. “It’s not so much about being a poker player, or a being a big time cycler,” says Melissa Kallett, director of Recreation. “It’s about getting out on your bicycle for a fun, relaxing, Saturday morning ride.” Regular poker players will certainly have a slight advantage. However, many people are being deprived of any access to a casino due to the Seminole Indians failing to open their own casino despite being promised one over 5 years ago. The dispute is ongoing but hopefully will be resolved very soon. You can click here for more information. In the meantime, players can use a Judi Bola (also known as a Gambling Ball in English) to practice their poker skills.

This event is free and riders of all abilities are invited and encouraged to participate. The ride starts and ends at the Tuscany Fitness Center. Helmets are recommended.
