Phoenix Feline Fanciers Past President to Speak on December 1

Nancy Dodds judging at a cat show.

Marge Ellison

Nancy Dodds, past president and active board member of Phoenix Feline Fanciers, will be the guest speaker at the Dec. 1 meeting of the Pet Companions Club. Phoenix Feline Fanciers (phxfeline.com) is the largest cat club in Arizona. We will meet from 3 to 5 p.m. in room 100 of the Eagle’s Nest Activities Center. All residents of PebbleCreek, whether club members or not, are invited to attend. There will be no charge.

Nancy is a world-known, approved allbreed cat show judge for the world’s largest cat registry, Cat Fancier’s Association (CFA), and has been a cat owner since the 1950s. She is an active member of the CFA judging program, which works with qualified people who want to become judges and with judges working to become approved allbreed judges for CFA. Nancy has received top honors from the CFA Judges’ Association. She is also chair for CFA’s Credentials Committee, which ensures proper procedures are followed in elections and attendance at annual and special meetings of the organization.

Nancy has been the proud owner of pedigreed Cornish Rex cats since 1974. Cat ownership is growing in popularity in all areas of the United States, and she can speak at all levels of cat ownership, from proper diet to grooming, and to general health concerns.

Those familiar with the Phoenix Feline Fanciers know that each December it hosts the largest cat show in Arizona at the Mesa Convention Center. It is a non-profit club that makes donations to Valley cat rescue groups and also donates space at the December show to cat rescue organizations. Please join us on Dec. 1 for this very informative presentation.
