Pet of the Month: Brady Thomas Shaw

Leilani

Hello PebbleCreek! My name is Brady Thomas Shaw. I am a West Highland Scottish Terrier. My breed originates from the land of golf (Scotland) so PebbleCreek is the place for me! My mom, dad, and I spend time in Colorado and Arizona. I haven’t noticed much snow here in Goodyear so far!

Since moving to the Eagle’s Nest side of the neighborhood in November I’ve enjoyed watching the golfer guys and the golfer gals play with their golf balls right outside my patio. They seem to not have as much fun as I do when I play with my yellow ball, because there are more moans and groans from 100 yards out from the green than yippees…

Along with watching golfers go by, I’ve enjoyed many other amenities of PebbleCreek the past few months. One of my favorite places is little park (Sunrise Park). I have met some of the sweetest friends there when we go over in the late afternoon. Pippa, River, Emma, and Zeke are some of my favorites and their mommas usually have yummy treats!

One of my favorite new places to walk in PebbleCreek is by the pickleball courts. The people there are always so welcoming and happy to see me when I buzz by all those blue courts. They seem to love their yellow ball as much as I love mine. Theirs makes much more noise than mine does, however that makes sense when they are playing with so many of them!

Riding around in a golf cart is also an exciting new experience for me! Unlike a car, there are no windows and I am able to take in all the wonderful smells as we zoom around Robson Circle. You will see me in a Kelly green cart which will be perfect for the Irish American Club’s golf tournament and the 2024 golf cart Christmas parade!

Being from Colorado, the coyotes are not new to me, but the ones here are huge and noisy. Sometimes their howling wakes me up in the middle of the night. Because it is my job to protect my momma, I am duty bound to respond and let them know that a tough guy lives in this house so they better move on. One morning there was a coyote laying in the middle of the fairway between my house and another house that also has a dog. My momma chased him off but I worried about the dog across the way.

If you see me at little park, the pickleball courts, on my patio, or driving around the neighborhood, please say hello. I love people and have a way of making them smile. Making people smile has always been one of my most important and favorite jobs.
