PebbleCreek Ukulele Club Updates

PebbleCreek Ukulele Club recently lost a dear friend of the club, Roxie Fabry. Roxie was a sometime visitor and guest at the club and traveled all the way from Wickenburg to play with us. Roxie was a fun, lovely lady and a great ukulele player. We will miss her.

We plan to hold our 3rd annual Open House on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025. The previous two open houses have been a resounding success. We welcome you to come and visit us, check out what the ukulele is all about, and get to know us. We welcome everyone, players, potential players, and those who just want to listen and sing along. We play a variety of songs, old and new.

The club begins to mushroom back to its seasonal size as members return from far and wide bringing their ukuleles and their enthusiasm with them. It is lovely to see familiar faces again and to hear a larger group play and have fun (so much fun!).

We welcome newcomers as well as those with experience. If you want to learn, we can help you and even loan you a ukulele to get started. The ukulele is probably one of the easier instruments to learn, that is if you don’t count the kazoo … we play those too!

When we have a few newcomers we have an extra half hour to teach you before the jam begins. We use several online song collections to play from, so a tablet or laptop is useful. We use the Wi-Fi provided in the Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse.

The PebbleCreek Ukulele Club meets every Thursday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in the Palm Room in the Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse.
