On two consecutive Wednesdays, the members of the PebbleCreek Sewing Club and the Women’s Giving Circle came together to prepare and sew the pouches used to hold feminine hygiene products for the Go with the Flow project.
This project is worked on year-round, collecting fabric, buttons, and products, then sewing the pouches and filling them. This is a big job and done with many helping hands and hearts.
Regina Mamer and Donna Aybar coordinated the dates and recruited the members from their respective organizations to pull this off. The cutting of the fabric was done on the first Wednesday and the sewing on the following. The eventual goal is to make 1500 pouches by March 2024, and we made 263. Many members and other residents are busily making them at home. We will reassess where we are in this goal and have another session if needed.
Thank you to all who pitched in to cut, sew, and donate. We will keep you posted.
