The PebbleCreek Republican Club hosted the Red, White, and Blue Evening in the Chianti Room on March 25. Mary McMahon, social chair, chaired the event that included red, white, and blue table decorations. Sixty-two members and guests dined in groups of four and enjoyed a special four-course menu created for the club. The conversation was lively, as our members talked about current issues at the local, state, and national level. The evening was also an opportunity to catch up with other members who they haven’t seen over the past several months. Members talked about plans for the club’s annual Veterans Dinner and the prospect of meeting in the Tuscany Ballroom when PebbleCreek facilities are opened to large gatherings.
Looking forward, the club has a full calendar for the remainder of 2021. Highlights include Charlie Kirk and Larry Schweikart. Charlie Kirk is an American conservative activist and the founder and president of Turning Point USA, a national student movement dedicated to identifying, organizing, and empowering young people to promote the principles of free markets and limited government. He was named to the Forbes 30 under 30 list, was the youngest speaker at the 2016 Republican National Convention, and opened the RNC as the first speaker in 2020. He’s the author of three books including the number one Amazon and New York Times bestseller, The MAGA Doctrine: The Only Ideas That Will Win the Future.
Larry Schweikart is back by popular demand. He is an American historian and retired professor of history at the University of Dayton. During the 1980s and 1990s, he authored numerous scholarly publications. In recent years, he has authored popular books, including A Patriot’s History of the United States and 48 Liberal Lies About American History.
