PebbleCreek Quilt Club member Erma Taylor responded to a request from the PebbleCreek Sewing Club. The PebbleCreek Sewing Club was making little bags to hold feminine hygiene products collected for and donated to the Go With The Flow organization.
Go With The Flow is a non-profit organization that provides menstrual products to students in Tucson, Phoenix, and neighboring metropolitan areas. It was created in 2017 when its executive director, Demetra Presley, learned about a teacher who kept feminine hygiene projects for her students. She learned that many school staff members were buying these products on their own, but the need exceeded the supply.
Several PebbleCreek residents collect and donate items for this organization, but girls need something to put these items in while at school. Erma went above and beyond by making over 100 of these colorful little bags. Thanks, Erma!
