The PebbleCreek Hiking Club did an overnight hiking trip to Death Valley February 26-March 1. The weather was terrific; sunny and 70-80 degrees each day. While there is little vegetation there, Death Valley is surprisingly scenic with lots of colorful rock formations. And we visited a couple of waterfalls with water flowing as well. We had three hiking groups totaling 35 hikers plus a few non-hikers. The club does two multi-day overnight hikes each season. Locations we have visited in recent years include: Zion, Utah; Las Vegas, Nevada; Temecula and Palm Springs, California; and the Grand Canyon and Tucson.
