Desert Sojourn, created by artist Charlene Romanos, won the Meet the Artist 2015 People’s Choice Award. The annual event was held April 3 in the Creative Arts Center. Guests selected Charlene’s piece for this honor from over 160 total participating works of art.

Charlene is a proven collage artist. She has an acute eye for detail and composition, which are displayed in her exciting one of a kind pieces. She combines collage style with a flair for color, form and texture to create matchless designs. Using common and uncommon materials, found objects and modern and vintage jewelry parts, Charlene carefully selects components which she then meticulously incorporates to create remarkable and unique jewelry and three dimensional works.

An active member in the PebbleCreek Art Club, her works can be seen and purchased in the Expressions Art Gallery.
