The PebbleCreek Ladies Golf Association (PCLGA) hosted another successful cancer fundraising tournament in January as 148 ladies flooded Tuscany East and Eagle’s Nest to “Pink Out.” Co-chairs Ellen Enright and Margaret Dlouhy chose Little Pink Houses for Hope as the organization to receive PCLGA tournament proceeds in 2024.
The organization was founded by breast cancer survivor Jeanine Patten-Coble in 2009 shortly after receiving her diagnosis. She joined the PCLGA ladies for the afternoon shotgun and despite the weather forecast and a cart path only day, the rain stayed in the clouds until most ladies were off the course.
Eight volunteers (and several husbands and friends) assisted on the course to present challenges and opportunities to the golfers, which raised $1,381. Ladies held their pink tickets close as recipients were announced for the 42 amazing baskets (donated by ladies golf groups) and several winners in the 50/50 raffle.
The Pinwheel Remembrance Garden displayed pinwheels where those touched by cancer were recognized in return for a small donation for each pinwheel registration.
We honored the women of the PCLGA who have survived or continue to battle this dreadful disease and gave them each a pink rose. Jeanine shared a fabulous video outlining the mission and vision for Little Pink Houses for Hope following our evening meal at the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. By the end of the day, an amazing $12,850 was donated to Little Pink Houses for Hope!
