“A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…” Who can forget that iconic opening to the first Star Wars film in 1977? The phrase is inspiring member sign-ups for the 25th annual Members-Guest golf tournament held by the PebbleCreek Ladies Golf Association or PCLGA. “Golf Wars – May the Course be with You” runs April 5–7, 2020. Tournament sign-ups begin Dec. 6, and end Jan. 6.

Members will use the PCLGA website to register. The tournament fee is $210 per player and includes a mulligan and magic putt. Members submit a check covering the fee for themselves and their guests. Member-guest foursomes may register for Sunday’s “Gauntlet” or horse race for an added $10 per player. PCLGA members pay an additional $27.50 per round of golf in the Tuscany Pro Shop April 5.

In addition to the horse race and two rounds of golf played on the Tuscany Falls courses, participants will enjoy meals each day, bingo, and trivia games, games of chance, group photos, and a parade of costumes and decorated golf carts inspired by Star Wars and science-fiction in general.

“The tournament will be out of this world,” say chairs Jenna Ridgeway and Barbara Rossi.
