Annual Charity Tournament

At the annual PebbleCreek Ladies Nine-Hole Golf Association (PCL9GA) charity tournament, the Lady Niners’ showcased their spirit of giving back to Purse Impressions, a local charity dedicated to supporting individuals after rehab. This organization founded by Patricia Brusha offers donated purses and personal hygiene products to women after completing rehabilitation from substance abuse. The Lady Niners donated $4,200 and an astounding number of purses, jewelry, and personal hygiene products. Purse Impressions has a storefront in Cave Creek and also supports children and men. Not only is the PCL9GA mission to promote, encourage, and advance women’s golf, but it’s also to foster courtesy, sportsmanship, and paying it forward. Many thanks go to Marilyn Matthews and Betty Johnson, who organized this giving event.

Medallion Qualifiers

Lady Niners who are representing our organization in the State Medallion Tournament are: Tina Stepzinski, Cherri Baxter, Linda Brisnehan, Nancy Jacks, Sue Harrison, and Jan Chambers. These ladies compete to qualify for the AGA State Medallion Club Team Tournament. Best of luck to our Medallion competitors!

Wine Social

PCL9GA membership has grown to over 360. On Jan. 10, our New Member Ambassadors Marilyn Matthews and Betty Johnson hosted a wine social. Ladies enjoyed sipping, conversation, and fellowship on a pleasant winter evening.

Winter Par Tee

PCL9GA Winter Par Tee organizers Sheryl Dobbin and Nancy Webber themed the event “Happy Gilmore.” PCL9GA members invited a spouse, friend, partner, or “alligator” to play in 4 person teams, 2 net best ball. Closet to the Pin winners on Tuscany Falls #4: Karen Reuland and #17: Rosemary Johnson for the women and #8: Barry Schuchman and #13: Mike McMahon for the men. Players enjoyed an after-golf buffet and “Happy Gilmore” trivia contest. Trivia winners were Karen Brett and Tina Dines.
