The PebbleCreek Art Club worked very hard to plan and prepare for their 2020 spring show and when the COVID-19 virus hit and changed every aspect of our lives, the show committee went into overdrive.
Susan Gleason, one of the club members who is a computer wizard, suggested putting the show online and the committee moved forward with Susan’s idea. With Susan’s guidance, patience, and experience, the dedicated committee made it happen.
The show went online on March 22, links were sent out to the membership, and the show was presented, featuring 95 pieces of art displayed. Not only could visitors view each art piece, they also were offered a chance to bid on nine special theme baskets of goodies, which featured an original piece of art. The online attendees even had the opportunity to vote for the People’s Choice selection. The website had a total of 3017 hits.
Using the internet to present the club’s show was an amazing experience with lots of hard and committed work by all involved. Heading the team of committee members in addition to Susan Gleason were co-chairman Gale Baldasari and Kathy Craig, Nancy Stifter, Sylvia Armstrong, JoAnn Clements, Marion Carew, Charlene Romanos, Loretta Prewitt, Karla Heinz, Carol Collins, Curtis Patchin, Judy Caruthers, Thula Edwards, and Mary Dohmeir.
Congratulations to all!
