On July 19, 88 members and guests of the PebbleCreek Wine Club gathered in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom to enjoy a delicious four-course meal, accompanied by wines from Browne Family Vineyards in Walla Walla, Wash. The reception featured Primarius Pinot Gris while attendees mingled before dinner. Raffle ticket sales are always a featured part of the reception since all proceeds from the raffles are donated to Kare Bears. The featured winery donated a few bottles of wine, which are then raffled off to the lucky winners … but Kare Bears is always the big winner!

The winery representative gave a brief history of Browne Family Vineyards and their focus on creating high quality wines. The entrees served at the July dinner were a choice of beef filet with lobster, sweet pea risotto, and roasted baby beets, or herb crusted ahi tuna with forbidden rice and baby bok choy. Both entrees were delicious! Of course, as always, the meal was topped off with a scrumptious dessert. In this case, it was apple tart ala mode with whipped cream and salted caramel sauce. The various courses were accompanied by Browne Heritage Chardonnay, Primarius Pinot Noir, Browne Tribute Red Blend, and Waterbrook Reserve Merlot. The featured wines were available for purchase after the dinner or on the club website. The food and camaraderie were so enjoyable, no one was in a hurry to leave!

Our August PC Wine Club dinner on Aug. 16, featured the St. Francis Winery. Entree choices were duck, short ribs, catfish, or vegetarian—another great event!
