In more ways than one, members of the PebbleCreek Singles Club count themselves lucky. First and foremost, there is that special feeling of belonging to a unique and diversified group of men and women who share common interests and enjoy each other’s company while participating in a variety of social, cultural and sports activities. Secondly, because the PC Singles Club is committed to helping those in need, members get to experience the joy of giving to worthy causes in the community as part of the club’s annual Charitable Campaign.

During September, a large group of singles will be carpooling to the Arizona Broadway Theatre to enjoy lunch while watching a production of the popular comedy Lucky Stiff. And in the months ahead, the activities calendars are showing plans for the group to attend two National Hockey League games (Arizona Coyotes vs. Chicago Blackhawks) at the Gila River Arena in December and February. For the shoppers in the club, there will be a trip to the Mesa Swap Meet and for others who enjoy a good picnic; plans are in the works for a Fall Fest in Sunset Park. In addition, each month members keep active with a bevy of regular activities: Movie Night, Pictionary, Singles Golf, Brunch and a Movie, Bowling for Fun, Singles at Karaoke and Happy Hour.

Important information about the 2015 Charitable Campaign will be shared at the regular monthly meeting on Sunday, September 6 at 3:00 p.m. in the ballroom of Tuscany Falls Clubhouse. Last month the group heard from Larry Cersavich, founder of the Homeless Youth Connection, and this month, Master Sergeant Brandie Rucker of Luke Air Force Base will speak to members about the mission and goals of Operation Warmheart, part of the Fighter Country Partnership Foundation at Luke. The club has set a lofty goal of raising $2500 for each of the charitable organizations.

Doors will open at 2:15 p.m. for new member registration followed by activities sign-up at 2:30 p.m. Membership is open to all single residents of PebbleCreek, owners and renters. For further information contact Vice President and Membership Director Mollie McErlean at [email protected] or 935-2822.

Activities calendars are emailed weekly to members and are available in the kiosk at Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse. For further information, to suggest activities or volunteer for the committee, contact Director Peggy Kuffner at [email protected] or 935-7225.
