Food, fun, fellowship and, at the same time, giving back to the community—what a wonderful combination. The Irish American Club does just that by holding five benefit dinners a year with all proceeds going to the Aqua Fria Food Bank. In total almost $2000 has been donated this past year thanks to the generosity of the members and the willingness of the hosts and co-hosts to hold these gatherings in their homes. Carmel Flynn has been organizing these get-togethers for the past six years and does an excellent job of coordinating all the details. 40 people attended the Benefit Dinner in April at the home of Terry and Greg Roth.

In addition, largely as a result of a very successful St. Patrick’s Day Golf Tournament, $1500 was donated to the New Life Center and another $1500 was donated to the SW Lending Closet.
