Paul Vogt Makes a Hole-in-One at Tuscany Falls East

Howie Tiger

On Jan. 5, Paul Vogt made a hole-in-one on hole number 13 at Tuscany Falls East. He made it while playing with the Back Tee Boys golf group. It might be the first hole-in-one made in 2024 here at PebbleCreek.

The 13th hole played 178 yards from the blue tees to a back-left pin placement. Paul hit a smooth 4-hybrid with a high draw ball flight at the hole. His playing partners were Randy Lundquist, John Cook, and Allen Hicks, a long-time friend of Paul’s. Randy saw the ball fly right at the hole but did not see the ball land. Paul thought that more than likely it went just over the green. Paul approached the green first and did not see a ball behind the green. He then checked the hole and there it was! High fives and desires for thirst quenching commenced!

Paul has been playing golf for 42 years. This was his third career hole-in-one. His first hole-in-one came on Father’s Day in 2001 while playing with his wife, Judy, at the Centennial Golf Course in Denver, Colo. His second came in November 2022 at Pechanga Golf Course in Temecula, Calif. Coincidentally, he was playing with his friend Allen. Even more coincidental is that Allen made a hole-in-one at Palm Valley Golf course in February 2023 while playing with Paul. After Paul’s latest, Allen said, “I can’t wait to play with Paul again so one of us can make another ace.” It’s Allen’s turn!

Paul grew up in Omaha, Neb., and attended the University of Nebraska. He spent most of his adult life in Denver. He worked at First Data/Western Union for 22 years focusing on Product Development and Supply Chain Distribution. With his two teammates, Paul was granted six patents for hardware and software on a money order machine they created together. Paul later became General Manager at Advanced Labeling Systems focusing on customers in the food & beverage, industrial, and medical industries.

He retired in 2021 and moved to PebbleCreek with his wife, Judy, in 2022.

Congratulations to Paul for his great shot! We can’t wait to see if he or Allen make another ace next time they tee it up together.
