As one chapter closes and another begins, the PebbleCreek Ladies Golf Association (PCLGA) continues to prove that strong leadership, thoughtful planning, and a little fun along the way are the heartbeat of the organization. Under the leadership of President Kathy Hubert-Wyss, the 2025-26 Board guided the league through a year of accomplishments that strengthened both the member experience and the club’s future.

This year’s board focused on improvements designed to create consistency, efficiency, and smoother operations for future generations of PCLGA members. One significant change included adopting the USGA Local Rule E-5, the out-of-bounds relief option. Since the men’s league had already implemented the rule, the adoption creates greater consistency during mixed events while also helping improve pace of play. In a game where friendships are treasured but five-hour rounds are not, this is a welcome adjustment for many players.

Additional bylaw changes reflected the board’s commitment to organizational growth and sustainability. A new Membership Registration and Renewal Chair position was created to relieve the Treasurer of increasingly time-consuming membership duties and to allow greater focus on the club’s financial management.

Another important bylaw update designated the PCLGA Treasurer as the Treasurer for the Member Guest Committee. This change provides stronger continuity and consistency with year-end audits and tax reporting responsibilities, creating a cleaner financial transition process.

Behind the scenes, one of the board’s most impactful projects may have been the creation of a master timeline for all board and committee positions. Think of it as a detailed course-management guide for future leaders. This resource will help incoming boards navigate responsibilities, deadlines, and transitions more smoothly, ensuring valuable knowledge is passed along to the incoming board.

Beyond policies and procedures, this board continued to foster what makes the PCLGA so special: camaraderie, laughter, and a shared joy of golf. Change is not always easy, and this year brought both challenges and important decisions, but the board worked diligently together with professionalism and dedication.

As the torch passes to the incoming board, there is both gratitude for the work that has been accomplished and excitement for what lies ahead. The foundation built this year creates momentum for continued success while preserving the traditions and spirit that make the PCLGA such a vibrant part of the PebbleCreek community.

To President Kathy Hubert-Wyss and the entire outgoing board: thank you for your dedication, leadership, and willingness to serve. Your efforts have helped shape another memorable season, both on and off the course.
