The PebbleCreek Old Timers held their sixth party to gather, share stories, renew friendships, look at old but memorable pictures and enjoy a wonderful Italian buffet on Sunday, January 31. 160 attendees that moved to PebbleCreek from 1993 to 2003 especially enjoyed viewing an air photo taken in the late 1990s that was given to the late Ernie Nagy and brought to the party by his wife, Marilyn Nagy. It was amazing to view nothing on the west side of PebbleCreek Parkway or north of Indian School, with Millennium High School the only building on Wigwam Boulevard. How PebbleCreek and the surrounding areas have changed in what seems to be a few short years! Thanks to Dan and Kathy Phelka’s computer expertise, a DVD of parties held from the very first Christmas Party in 1994 to many other parties up to 1997 could be viewed on the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom screen throughout the party.

Many helped to make this party very special. Thank yous to Beverly Bonich, Linda Wyman, Judy Nelson, Marilyn Nagy and Kathy Manzi for their contributions and to the PebbleCreek Kare Bears for the donation of the tickets used for the door prizes. Everyone in attendance gave rave reviews to the PebbleCreek Banquet Staff for a delicious buffet and that all details were carried out to perfection.

Everyone eagerly awaited the drawing of the numerous door prizes, this being the first party to have door prizes. Each attendee received a ticket. Beverly did the drawing and announcing and Linda and Kathy gave the prizes to the lucky winners. The committee thanks our many donors and asked those in attendance to patronize and thank the following: Basia’s, Beauty Shop, Bella Luna, John Gimon, Clubhouse Grill, Haymaker Restaurant, PC HOA, RCI, Saddle Mountain Brewery, Sugar ‘n Spice, Vivian Nails & Spa and Yogurtini.

A special donation of gift cards, in the name of PebbleCreek Old Timers, was made to John Spooler to be given to the Homeless Youth Connection. To end the evening festivities, Marlene Wickizer gave a special reading and had the attendees stand when their move to PebbleCreek year was called.

Upon leaving the ballroom many were heard to ask when the next party will be held! A very good time was had by all!
