That’s right! This is the month where we share the love of our hobby with our friends.

The PCMRC is no different. We have several ways for you (and your family) to share in our hobby this month.

One of the windows in the Tuscany Falls Arts & Technology Center will be decorated with model railroad items; locomotives and cars and other goodies in several scales. This display will be up for the entire month of November.

On black Friday, November 27, we will have an Open House. Our layouts are part of the Activities Center in Eagle’s Nest. We plan (weather permitting) to have the garden (G-scale layout) running. If it’s nice outside, we will show the progress on our O-scale modules. Our signature Great Lakes Western (GLW – indoor HO-scale) railroad will be running no matter what the weather. We will be open from 10:00 a.m. to noon. The photo shows club members Stan Spielbusch (left) and Patrick Neely (right) setting up the GLW Railroad for a prior Thanksgiving Open House.

If your family’s schedule doesn’t allow you to come by on November 27, we are working on or running the GLW railroad every Tuesday and Thursday morning, except Thanksgiving Day. This work and fun goes on every month of the year, not just in November. Someone is there by 9:00 a.m. (or occasionally a bit after) and we leave for lunch together about 11:30 a.m.

Outside those times, members may be available to show off our railroad. Make arrangements with Mark Pelletier 623-455-8076 or Chuck Weart 602-363-1246).

The PebbleCreek Model Railroad Club has been a part of community life here since 1998. We are headquartered in the Eagle’s Nest Activities Center, Room 106. Members are there on Tuesday and Thursday mornings – but not always running trains. You can always keep up with the PCMRC on the web (www.pcmrc.org).
