In recent years an adorable inanimate character has been spotted at various PebbleCreek functions. Obviously a seeker of good times, the adorable fellow with the full cheeks, gentle eyes and warm smile knows where to find fun in PebbleCreek. He started out as a Santa in Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in the Creative Arts Center. He has been spotted at the Chef’s Gala in his Denim and Diamonds outfit. He has been seen around PebbleCreek in his cowboy chef outfit and has golfing and tennis attire on order. His entire wardrobe and accessories are created by a very talented PebbleCreek seamstress, Hope Neergaard.
This lovable character has one problem. He has no name. Since he intends to continue attending the enjoyable activities in the community, he needs a proper name. Some of the ladies helping to dress him in the past simply refer to him as the “little dude.” Oh my, this will never do! The poor fellow needs a real name so he may be greeted properly by residents and guests at PebbleCreek functions. The PebbleCreek HOA is seeking your help in naming our mascot, so put on your creative thinking caps!
Your first opportunity to enter the contest to name the mascot will be at the Eagle’s Nest Restaurant grand reopening on Tuesday, October 7 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Entry forms will be available to all who attend this fun event. Plan to join us as we celebrate the restaurant’s reopening and bring your most creative ideas to name the little dude.
If you are unable to attend, entry forms will be available from Wednesday, October 8 to Monday, October 13 at Resident Guest Services front desks in both Eagle’s Nest and Tuscany Falls Clubhouses, the Activities Office and at the Creative Arts Center. If you are out of town, email your entries to Sue Jackson, Creative Arts Manager, at [email protected], but be sure to include your name, address, phone number and email. The winner will be awarded not only the bragging rights for naming the little dude, but also a $100 gift certificate that can be used at PebbleCreek’s Food & Beverage venues or golf courses!
Keep in mind that the little dude will be serving as a mascot, helping to market a variety of fun activities at PebbleCreek. Currently he is overseeing the work of fine artists in the Creative Arts Center in his master painter’s garb and welcomes you to come visit. After the winning name is chosen by a panel of judges, the winner will be announced at the HOA Board of Directors meeting on Wednesday, October 15. So have fun, get your creative juices flowing and help us find a proper name for the little dude!
