On April 11, the PebbleCreek Ladies Nine-Hole Golf Association (PCL9GA) and the PebbleCreek Men’s Nine-Hole Golf Association (PCM9GA) played in a four-player team scramble. A “secret select” committee adjacent to Mattel Inc. voted on the best-dressed Barbie and Ken couples. The winning couples were Cliff and Nancy Crooks and Rick and Rose Johnson, while the “secret select” committee on this 65th anniversary of Barbie voted Tammy Carnahan and Mark Eichorn as PebbleCreek’s Barbie and Ken!
On April 23, installation of new PCL9GA officers was held in a Rose Ceremony in the Tuscany Ballroom. President Lorene Greer, President-Elect Betty Johnson, Treasurer Meg Chrisman, and Secretary Kris Hanlon each received a Floribunda Rose in appreciation for their willingness to guide the PCL9GA in the coming year. Also, PCL9GA members who will compete in next year’s Medallion tournament were announced. The Lady Niners Low Gross team is Tina Stepzinski, Jan Chambers, Rhonda King, and the Low Net team is Norma Guillaume, Yvonne Paris, and Susan Sellnow.
And finally, Karen Stroup was named Most Improved Player. Congratulations, Karen.
