The PebbleCreek Men’s Nine-Hole Golf Association (PCM9GA) played their annual Member-Member Tournament in February 2024. The two-day event was held on Feb. 15 and Feb. 22, with four flights of two-man teams. The 15th was a two-man scramble, while the 22nd was a two-man better ball, and both were played on Tuscany Falls East.

Top honors in the scramble for Flight One belonged to Eric Letzler and Tim Munson. Ronald Devine and Duane Hoskinson got the win in Flight Two, while Ron Froemming and Don Paxton captured Flight Three. The Flight Four winners were Loren Norgaard and Dick Ruder.

The Tiny Tavern served as a post-match meeting ground.

There were no repeat winners in the better ball event. Dale Knutson and Allan McCormack brought home the win in Flight One. Michael Davis and Joe Nasal were winners in Flight Two. Flight Three was captured by Jon Fritz and Willard Bradshaw, while Doyle Blaylock and Nick Isenhart won Flight Four.

A four-man skins game was held in parallel with the better ball round. David Pritchyk claimed five skins, while Randy Vleck, Nick Isenhart, and Jim Halbmaier each won four skins.

After play the Niners gathered in the Chianti Room for beverages and snacks and to announce the “Most Improved Golfer” awards for 2023.

Our club recognizes golf handicap improvement during the calendar year. This improvement is based on 2023 posted scores, not just scores during club play, and requires a minimum of 10 posted scores during the calendar year. The top 10 “Most Improved” were awarded a sleeve of PCM9GA logo golf balls and a $10 Pro Shop credit.

The PCM9GA’s top 10 “Most Improved” golfers for 2023 (in order of rank) were Ted McGovern, Chris Mucha, Sandro Desimone, Randy Prinz, Michael Davis, Nick Isenhart, Tim Mohler, Joe Nasal, Doug Wainwright, and Mike Hurst.

Congratulations to these golfers for their high achievement and their falling handicap index.
