At press deadline, the candidates for the 2021 election had not yet been revealed, but by the time you are reading this, you will have learned the names of those who have tossed their hat into the ring via PebbleNews. The candidates are vying for a two-year, resident-volunteer position on the PebbleCreek Homeowner Board of Directors, beginning Jan. 1, 2022. A director’s duties and responsibilities are described in Article V Section 2 of PebbleCreek’s CC&Rs, which are posted on the PebbleCreek HOA website.
You’ll have a chance to learn more about the candidates and their platforms in the coming weeks. First, plan to attend one of the Meet-the-Candidates Forums on Tuesday, Oct. 26, then look for our special election insert in the November issue of the PebbleCreek Post.
All homeowners are encouraged to participate in one of the Meet-the-Candidates Forums on Tuesday, Oct. 26. Two forums will be held:
* Live at 10 a.m. in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom
* Virtually at 7 p.m. Details about logging into the 7 p.m. forum will be published in PebbleNews.
Both forums will include information about the voting process, opening remarks by each candidate, and Q&A from the audience. At the conclusion of the Q&A, candidates will have two minutes apiece for closing remarks.
“Our Election Committee organizes these forums to provide homeowners with an opportunity for dialogue and respectful, bona fide inquiries to clarify candidates’ positions on issues that serve the greater good of the community,” said Gordon Seaman, committee chair.
For the fifth year, our HOA board election will be managed by VoteHOANow.com, which proved to be quick, easy to use, and yielded an outstanding turnout for the last four elections. On or about Nov. 18, registered homeowners will receive an email from the Vote HOA Now voting site, asking them to vote online anytime during the fall PebbleCreek HOA election period, which begins Thursday, Nov. 18, and ends at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30. (Please note that if you prefer using a paper ballot, you must request one, in person, from the Eagle’s Nest front desk during the active election period. No paper ballots will be mailed.)
