Jim Ellison, President
The Pet Companions Club of PebbleCreek is pleased to have as its speaker at our Wednesday, March 4, 2020, meeting, Mat Dry, owner of TIA Safaris. We will meet at 3 p.m. in room 100 of the Eagle’s Nest Activities Center. All PebbleCreek residents, whether club members or not, are invited to enjoy this free presentation.
Mat has a passion for Africa and a particular love for its flora and fauna. He has been a tourist safari guide for nine years, having gained his training and certification from the renowned school, Ulovane, and the Field Guide’s Association of Southern Africa. He has taken tourists across Africa and introduced them to Africa’s beauties and wonders from mountain gorillas in Uganda to the Floral Kingdom on top of Table Mountain in Cape Town, South Africa.
Mat’s talk will cover the Serengeti ecosystem, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area which has been set up as a World Heritage Site. Mat will also discuss what they are doing to protect the animals that live there and the dangers they face in the wild across Africa.
As usual, there will be a box available for donations of such animal related items as: dog beds, dog collars, harnesses, leashes, dog/cat food (check expiration date), towels, dog/cat toys, dog/cat medications (check expiration date), etc. Those items not used for our PebbleCreek rescues will be donated to other animal rescue organizations.
