The Just Folks Association warmly invites you, members of your club, family, and friends to join us in our annual Kwanzaa celebration. This year’s theme, Kujichagulia, which means self determination, will be celebrated with a program brunch on Monday, Dec. 6, at the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse.
The theme, Kujichagulia, encourages us to seek and chart our own destiny by defining who we are and what our legacy will be. It is a purpose for all people, and so we invite all PebbleCreek groups and neighbors to join in the celebration, highlighted by African dance, poetry reading, and the traditional Kwanzaa ceremony. This year we also feature an African marketplace.
A Kwanzaa ticket ($25 per person) may be obtained by mailing a check, per the instructions on the invitation, or you may make a purchase at the Eagle’s Nest Kiosk on the following dates and times: Nov. 4 from 9 to 11 a.m. and Nov. 11 and 18 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Our special one-day celebration is a brief introduction to the Kwanzaa observance that is celebrated annually from Dec. 26 through Jan. 1. This is a time when, throughout the United States and some African nations, we honor African heritage and culture.
We hope you will join us on Dec. 6 and look forward to seeing you on this special occasion.
