Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was the conscience of America when righteousness and justice were not rolling down the hills of our society. He and others brought to the forefront the pain and suffering that accompanied the injustices of our nation. America was challenged to live up to her ideals of liberty and justice for all. People of various races, religions, and cultures joined together as one voice to press the need for change.
Celebrating Dr. King’s birth is a way to both look back and remember and to look forward to enhancing and going beyond his dream. The Just Folks Association of PebbleCreek is honored and pleased to announce the 11th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration on Monday, Jan. 18, 2022, at 10 a.m. This year’s theme is Dream, Believe, Do, which highlights the life and legacy of Dr. King. Join us for an inspiring program featuring a dynamic, interpretive dance by the EMCC Dance Troupe, musical selections, and an inspiring speaker. Our speaker is a dynamic young man, Warren Stewart, Jr. He is a community activist, Christian minister, and entrepreneur.
This year’s program will be viewed online via a link. Please save the date and plan to join the celebration. Look for sign up information in the January issue of the PebbleCreek Post.
