The PC Italian American Club’s calendar continues to offer many events to enjoy the best of the Italian American heritage. January’s meeting was the time for membership renewals with membership continuing to grow. The club tries to incorporate either a repeat or new/unique social activity each month, in addition to the monthly Business Meeting.

At the January 14, 2015, meeting many club members got together to share their Christmas/New Year stories. An abundance of information was provided about upcoming club events. Of course, the goodies were again wonderful. A Trivial Pursuit game ended the evening. Members moved around to meet new members, enjoying the questions and laughing at some of the answer choices. New and long term club members met at the Claim Jumper on January 21 to enjoy this month’s Dining Out activity. Thanks to Joan and Tony Suriano for hosting this event.

February upcoming events: 1. Club members will participate in a wine tasting at Total Wine on Monday, February 9; 2. A Festa di Cioccolato will headline the club’s February 11 meeting (all chocolate lovers will be in heaven); 3. Sunday, February 22 is the date for the Regional Cooking Italian Experience Pranzo. This annual event sees club members and their guests share a remarkable Italian dining experience (including antipasto, soup, salads, entrees and desserts). Members cook and share either a family favorite recipe or a recipe from the area of Italy representing their family heritage. Recipes are available. This year potential members can be guests (the cost is $15 each). This money will be donated to the Homeless Youth Connection. An Italian game and a surprise event are planned for this afternoon.

March and April will also be busy for our club members. Details will be available in the club’s article in the March PebbleCreek Post with Andiamos returning.

The PebbleCreek Italian American Club is open to all PebbleCreekers. Come and join us as a guest and meet some fun loving, social folks. Our next meeting is Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. (socializing starts at 6:30 p.m.) in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom and join in the February and other upcoming club events. There is a club invitation in the Italian American Club kiosk across from the Eagle’s Nest Pro Shop; please feel free to contact our club President Rose Ann Cleland at 535-9771 or [email protected].
