Italian American Club cruised Canyon Lake

The PebbleCreek Italian American Club Dolly Steamboat’s lunch cruise was the last of the big events before the snowbirds left for the summer. Host John and Diane SantaLucia made all the arrangements to take members and guests to the heart of the Superstition Mountains on Canyon Lake where we cruised the secluded inner waterway of this wondrous lake enjoying the beautiful scenery, including sightings of a bald eagle, falcons and bighorn sheep. This awe-inspiring diamond in the rough is one of Arizona’s best kept secrets.

The bus trip up and back added to the total fun experience of this trip. Breakfast rolls and coffee were served on the way up with wine and snacks served on the ride back home. Not to forget the fun movies that were shown on the ride both ways as well, the hour and a half trip each way was truly enjoyable and relaxing.

Thanks again to John and Diane SantaLucia for all their planning and hard work to make the entire cruise venture most memorable.
