On Dec. 2, 2022, 250 elegantly dressed members and guests celebrated the Italian American Club’s 20th annual Poinsettia Ball. Excitement filled the air as partiers welcomed the advent of the holiday season.
Our sold-out signature holiday event began the moment attendees entered the clubhouse. We were greeted by a group of beautifully dressed, gracious hostesses who ushered us to the Chianti Room for pre-dinner cocktails, plentiful appetizers, and the beautiful music of Bart Ventura. While socializing with old and new friends, we were able to peruse and bid on the silent auction items that were so generously donated by our members. Several pieces of beautiful artwork, dining at two popular restaurants, and a gourmet six-course dinner for six were offered up. It was exciting to watch the bidding wars among competitors hoping to win their sought-after item.
Our sumptuous holiday feast in the seasonally-decorated Tuscany Falls Ballroom began with traditional family-style Bistro and Caesar salads. The main course of filet mignon and shrimp was followed by a dessert of Tiramisu. To top off the meal, each table enjoyed an assortment of traditional Italian cookies, home-baked by volunteer club members. The crowd-pleasing band, Rhythm Edition, played a wide variety of music that included specially requested arrangements for our listening and dancing enjoyment.
Throughout the evening, event planners received accolades concerning the beautiful ambiance, the music, and the outstanding dining experience. Many people expressed the opinion that this year’s Ball was the finest ever, and many also shared that the dinner was the best meal they had ever enjoyed at a PebbleCreek affair.
None of this would have been possible without the hard work and countless hours of time donated by our event co-chairs, Suzanne Butler and Rosemary Holmes and their event committees. We are so very grateful for our generous, supportive sponsors:
* Donna Strand, Realty ONE Group
* Candy, Mike and Chris Klackle, RE/MAX Professionals
* Karen Reuland, Pebblecreek Real Estate Group
* Argent Solar Electric, Charlie Miller
We thank Catering Director Melissa Gonzales for her help in making the evening so special, and we are especially impressed with and appreciative of the effort put forth by Chef Michael, his staff, and all the wonderful servers. We also thank our President, Ken Minichiello, for his amazing support, all of our volunteers who worked to make this event a huge success, and our members and guests who participated so joyously in the festivities.
