In Passing

Maureen Elizabeth Clark

Kellie Stafford

Maureen Elizabeth Clark: Born October 14, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois passed away suddenly from a heart attack on May 1, 2017. Her family moved from Minnesota to California in 1960. After many years in California she and her husband Gerald spent two years working on the Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands, then settled in Grants Pass, Oregon for 25 years. During that time period, the Clarks worked as full-time missionaries in the Philippines for six years, serving the children in the mission orphanage in a remote village on the Island of Mindoro.

Maureen loved genealogy and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). She could make and sew anything put in front of her. She was Director of Development of the Home For Good Foundation for over 20 years where she used her talents tirelessly to raise money to help families adopt orphan children. In lieu of cards or flowers, a donation to the Home for Good Foundation at www.hfgf.org is Maureen’s desire.

Maureen is survived by her husband Gerald Clark, daughter Kellie Stafford, stepson Kris Clark and granddaughters Nicole and Corey.

Her ashes will be interred at the Veterans National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. No grave-side services are planned at this time.
