Home Tour Committee seeking homes to showcase for 20th annual tour

The PebbleCreek Home Tour Committee is gearing up for another fantastic home tour scheduled for November 12, 2016. This year this event will be celebrating 20 years of raising funds for needy children of the city of Goodyear to enjoy a Shop With a Cop day where a Goodyear Police Officer will take a child shopping for Christmas.

“My parents have always taught me that charity begins at home,” commented Wally Campbell, Home Tour Committee Chairman. “I define home as family, church and community.” The PebbleCreek Home Tour provides a unique opportunity to touch the lives of so many underprivileged children in our city.

The Home Tour brings together so many elements of our community: Committee members, volunteers, sponsors and homeowners. For those involved in the tour, past and present, community is the common thread. From its beginning the Home Tour has been helping children since 1996 and has become one of the most important ongoing, community-building events in PebbleCreek. It takes more than 100 volunteers—homeowners, hostesses, sponsors, committee members and many more—to make this tour happen. It takes all of the PebbleCreek community together to have a successful tour.

The Home Tour Committee members are Wally Campbell, Barbara Hockert, Charlotte Krause, Judy Peterson and Maggie Philippon. Because our committee is volunteer-based, we pass on 100 percent of Home Tour proceeds to the Goodyear Police Department Shop with a Cop program each year which is a truly wonderful outreach in our community.
