High Holidays Club—Chai High’s third lecture

News update—Tuesday, December 1, 2015, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Tuscany Clubhouse Capri Room the PebbleCreek High Holidays Club continues with our new program affectionately called “Chai High.” The residents of PebbleCreek will be treated to another monthly higher learning session about Jewish history, holidays, language, Hebrew reading, holocaust lectures, movies and other interesting topics.

Our third lecture on December 1 will have Rabbi Berel Zaklikofsky as our speaker. His topic is the Origins, History and Traditions of Hanukah.

Rabbi Berel grew up in Oak Park, Michigan, and attended the Michigan Institute for Advanced Studies and then on to the Rabbinical College of Greater Miami. He served in the Jewish community of Sydney, Australia and studied at the Yeshiva College. He continued as a pulpit rabbi in Brisbane. Upon completion of his studies, Rabbi Berel taught Chassidic philosophy and Talmudic studies at the vocational Yeshiva in Ottawa Ontario, Canada. The Rabbi has provided educational programs throughout the world. We now happily can claim him as our local Chabad rabbi here in Goodyear, Arizona.

So—come and join our club for this next lecture (at no charge). You will learn about our Hanukah origins and traditions. There will be many surprising revelations as well as insights. The floor will be open for questions after the lecture. Please email Brenda Hyman at [email protected] for sign up. Each email will be time stamped and once capacity is reached (40 guests) you will be wait-listed.

Mark your calendars for the additional dates in the coming months:

Tuesday: January 5, February 2, March 1, April 5, 2016, in the Capri Room in Tuscany Clubhouse at 7:00 p.m.

We guarantee an exciting and educational program each and every time. Looking forward to seeing you in December and at all the other lectures. Topic subjects will appear in the PebbleCreek Post as well as on the flyer posted on our bulletin boards monthly.

Shalom!
