Dateline—October 11, 2:00 p.m. PebbleCreek’s Shalom Club is on the dock at Canyon Lakes waiting for the Dolly Steamboat ride to shove off the pier. 45 plus members went a-boating on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. We saw a bald eagle (a very rare sight) as well as a big horn sheep. Beautiful photos, beautiful scenery as well as a smooth–as-glass ride made this a wonderful outing. Thank you to Judy Ruck and Jerry Hausner for arranging this. The day was not over after the boat ride; dinner was being served at the Mining Camp Restaurant (up the road a piece). We had a scrumptious family style dinner served on tin plates with tin cups. Ribs, chicken, salad, vegetable, potatoes and dessert fed our hungry bodies after a day at sea. Our members drove home with a smile on our faces and full bellies.

Happy Hanukah to everyone! Our Shalom Club will hold its annual Hanukah party on Thursday, December 10 at 7:00 p.m. in the Eagle’s Nest Dining Room. Beef medallions, a turkey carving station, salad bar, potato pancakes and dessert will be served. Music will be provided by Hal Martin for our dancing pleasure. This party is always fun. The cost is $26 per person (members), $32 per person (guests) and $15 per person (guest child). Signups will be done on our website: www.pcshalomclub.org. Checks should be sent to our Treasurer Carl Schatz – Payable to the PC Shalom Club. (Payments due by December 3.) Any questions regarding this party, please contact Phil Zeidman at 623-547-3838, [email protected].
