Dave and Arlene Simpson
Dave and Arlene celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 14, 2018. They met through a mutual friend when both were 17 years old. They were born and raised in Seattle, attended the same high school and they were married in Burien (Seattle), Washington. Both attended Washington State University. Upon graduation, Dave’s degree in mechanical engineering landed him a job with Mobil Oil Corporation which allowed them to live in many places around the country. Vacations often consisted of long road trips, seeking out great scenery and landmarks. They managed to visit all 50 states, as well as enjoying a few cruises and trips to Europe. Dave’s career sent him to many exotic (and not so exotic) places on five continents.
They have two sons; Brian lives north of Philadelphia and Ron and his wife and daughter live in Salt Lake City, Utah.
After Dave’s 30-year career with Mobil Oil, they moved to Robson’s SaddleBrooke in Tucson and later to Robson Ranch Texas in Denton, Texas. They moved into their PebbleCreek home in June 2017. This is their third Robson Community, and their 11th home, many of which were built from the ground up. They love PebbleCreek and think it is the best Robson Community they’ve tried. Looking forward to making great friendships here, they have no plans to relocate!
Dave used to be a golfer and wants to get back to that now that he has had his knee replaced. He’s also a member of the Camera Club. He enjoys craft beer and nice wine. Arlene sews and quilts and loves to read. She will probably try her hand with the beading group, too. She is the Unit contact for Unit 1A.
For their anniversary, they spent four days at a Tucson resort, revisiting places that were favorites when they lived down there. They have a lengthier trip planned in spring with a cruise through the Panama Canal.
Pat and Ted Ingalls
Pat and Ted Ingalls recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their children and grandchildren at a seaside resort on the Southern California coast, including an anniversary dinner at a restaurant overlooking Dana Point Harbor. Family excursions to the beach and Disneyland added more fun memories. The Ohio natives met at a mutual friend’s Christmas gathering, while Naval officer Ted was home on leave.
