Fifteen of the PebbleCreekers took an African Safari during September. We started in Johannesburg, South Africa resting from the flights before flying to Mbomfela, then bussed to Kruger National Park.

We were set up at Buffalo Rock Camp. There we saw the Big Five, elephants, lions, leopard, rhinos and cape buffalo. We then flew to Zambia and then were driven to Victoria Falls, where we were bussed to our camp at Sable Sands Lodge in Zimbabwe. We toured Hwange National Park where we were very close to lions, elephants, baboons, hyenas, giraffe and wart hogs. Impala were ubiquitous. Next, we were bussed to the Rainbow Hotel in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. We left Victoria Falls and traveled by boat to the Kaza Safari Lodge, Impalila Island on the Zambezi River. Hippos were close by and we remained far away. We then were ferried to Chobe, Botswana. We had some of our best viewing along the Chobe River. We ended the tour in Cape Town. The brave souls were Gordy and Shelley Foster, Steve and Teresa Ward, Les and Jackie Armstrong, Dennis and Cindy Makinen, Allan and Sherrie Gragnano, Ed and Karen Stadjuhar, Rick and Patty Reed and Mike Donahue. We had a great adventure. Get the details from any one of the travelers.
