Gun Club Mixes It Up for Annual Trap Contest

PC Gun Club members shooting trap at Joe Foss in Buckeye

Scores are always close in the PC Gun Club’s annual trap competition and this year’s contest, held March 7, was no exception. Members enjoyed a new format and new payout scheme in line with competitions that are held at regional, state, and national levels.

Squads of five shooters were given a 40-minute slot to shoot two rounds of 25 targets. Scores were totaled, ranked, and then divided across the field into three groupings. Within each group, first-, second- and third-place cash prizes were awarded. Ties were broken by the longest string of targets hit without a miss.

Congratulations shooters!
