Recently, the PebbleCreek Gun Club successfully completed presentations on certified National Rifle Association (NRA) seminar and class.

The PebbleCreek Gun Club is adopting NRA seminars and classes and ensuring its students are NRA certified. NRA FIRST Steps Pistol Orientation now replaces the former Basic Handgun Class given by the PebbleCreek Gun Club.

Refuse To Be A Victim®

There are millions of violent and property crimes committed annually. Safety experts agree the single most important step toward ensuring your personal safety is making the conscious decision to Refuse To Be A Victim®. You stand a much better chance of preventing criminal attack if you develop a safety plan before you need it. That is why the Refuse To Be A Victim® crime prevention seminar was developed. It is a program of the National Rifle Association. This is not a firearms training class.

The seminar teaches easy to understand methods you can use to increase awareness and prevent criminal confrontation. In just three hours, you will get the tools you need to develop your own personal safety strategy.

The class is Monday, May 4, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse, The cost is $30. All PebbleCreek residents and their guests are invited. Each student will receive a certificate of completion. Advanced registration is required. For registration information, contact [email protected]. Payment may be made by cash or check.

NRA FIRST Steps Pistol Orientation

FIRST Steps (Firearm Instruction, Responsibility, and Safety Training) is the National Rifle Association’s response to the American public’s need for a firearms orientation program for new purchasers. New firearms owners are encouraged to take this “first step” of obtaining training. This NRA FIRST Steps Program is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation for pistols, both revolvers and semi-automatic.

Each student will receive a certificate of completion. Course materials for each student will include the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting, a complete reference manual that covers all aspects of pistol safety, shooting, cleaning and maintenance.

Classes are held on April 10, May 8, and June 5, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. to noon at the Joe Foss Shooting Range 26700 West Buckeye Hills Drive Buckeye, AZ. The cost is $35. All PebbleCreek Gun Club members are welcome. Advance Registration is required. For registration information, contact [email protected]. Payment may be made by cash or check.
